Career Story

My travel career commenced in high school by participating in the co-op program at a local travel agency. Ultimately, I was hired! After remaining there for several years, I moved to a wholesale travel company specializing in sun vacations, tours, cruises and ski destinations. Transferring from reservations and collaborating with travel agents for clients’ vacations, I worked with winners who were awarded trips through radio or travel agent promotions.

Leaving Canadian Holidays, I joined Jazz Aviation, known as Air Canada Express, first as a Customer Relations Representative and then my position evolved to a Customer Service Manager. My responsibilities expanded to include providing directions and guidance to the sales and ramp teams, ensuring our flights departed and arrived on time. This also meant driving on the ramp at Pearson Airport with a specialized drivers license to oversee the operation. Eventually I moved too STOC (System Terminal Operations Centre) as the Duty Manager, responsible for the Toronto operation along with supporting team members.

Today, I work within the Maintenance department focused as a Continuous Improvement Specialist and am currently dedicated to receiving my Life Coaching Certification with the Momentum Company. This certification will blend into a skill which I can utilize at Jazz, my business and coaching individuals.

In my personal life, I volunteer at Alexander Place, a long-term care home and hold the Chair position of Friends of Alexander Place, a non-profit charity supporting our senior community.
