Job Description

Trainers help people teach their dogs what they want to achieve. We often work with dogs who have behavioural concerns, our job is to determine the cause of the behaviour, reduce the undesirable behaviour, and teach the dog what we want them to do instead. We work with clients one-on-one, in group settings with puppies, rescue dogs, and older dogs.

Career Story

I started out in the environmental field for many years after attending college. I worked for a small company for years and then a large corporate company. After coming across dog behaviour as a hobby, I found that I loved working with people and their dogs and loved the flexibility of owning my own business. True Instincts Dog Training opened in 2011 and its been great!
