With the huge change that Covid brought about, an entrepreneur needs to be flexible and change with the markets. ie: learning online marketing, looking at trends, changing directions with your business and making adjustments as needed.

Career Story
Vicky’s journey in creating beautiful crystal jewelry and unique gifts started way back in 1987. She’s like a magician, crafting stunning pieces using sculpted wire, special quartz crystals, and Fine Crystals that capture the vibrant colours of nature’s crystal formations.
She’s not just a jewellery designer, though! Vicky’s educational journey took her through McMaster for a BA, Waterloo for a B.Sc., and Brock for a B.Ed. She spent a big part of her career teaching, but her passion for jewelry design blossomed during that time. She took extra classes in fashion design and wire sculpting at Mohawk College, discovering her style and noticing how colours affect how people feel when wearing her creations.
Vicky’s been all around—Ontario, Montreal, the Prairie provinces, even Chicago! She showcased her unique designs at craft fairs, learning and growing while staying true to her classic style. What’s interesting is that she loves customizing pieces at these shows, helping visitors find their perfect colour combinations.
Fun fact: Vicky patented her bookmark design in 2001! Plus, she’s won a bunch of awards, like “Best Overall Exhibit” at the Marshville Heritage Festival in 2003 and honourable mentions for her awesome gifts.
She’s always evolving, though! Vicky’s selection changes with every show, and she’s constantly learning more about colours and how they fit together. Her dedication to her craft shines through in every piece she creates!
