HWDSB students use myBlueprint for pathway planning. It encourages students to learn about themselves, set goals and document their skill development. Whether in helping to develop personal awareness, planning which high school courses to pursue, or exploring post-secondary options, the tools offered through myBlueprint are essential for making informed decisions about high school and beyond.

Students can get to know different workplaces through Edge Factor, an online platform used by local high schools where students can learn about local companies, different job options and related information.

Be Strong Together is a non-profit organization run by female Canadian University students. Their programs are completely free and are supported by volunteers. Their goal is to provide positive female role models and mentors for young girls. Educators can contact them through their website to arrange in-person presentations at elementary schools and high schools. Youth and parents can register for upcoming events on their website.

FAB Foundation aims to eliminate the barriers that young women face by providing girls from grades 6 – 12 with the goal-setting and leadership skills they need to lead empowered lives. With a focus on reaching girls in Hamilton’s low-income communities, FAB fosters resilience through its 5k run challenge and empowerment programs.
